Our story
Why JG Tax and Legal exists
Plenty of good lawyers know the law and plenty of good accountants know the tax. The difficulty for clients is that important decisions sit in between. Sell a business and the contract is a legal document with a tax outcome attached. Set up a trust and the deed is a legal instrument that governs the relationship and impacts the tax outcome. Plan an estate and the will only works if the structures behind it do too.
JG Tax and Legal was founded to bridge that gap. We are a small practice by design, with commercial and private-client law and tax law under one roof. When a matter sits across both, we work on it together; when it doesn't, you get focused advice in the area you need. Either way, fewer hand-offs and a clearer line of advice.
Being boutique is a deliberate choice. It keeps your matter with a principal, keeps our advice direct, and keeps us close enough to the detail to get it right.

We work with your advisers, not around them.
Many of our clients come to us through their accountant. We see that relationship as the centre of the picture, not competition. We handle the commercial law and tax law work, keep you informed throughout, and return the client to you. We do not, and will never, offer tax compliance services, and we deepen your relationship with your client rather than replace it. Ask us about our referral program.
